Insurance Finance Company, LLC was established in 1969 by wholesale trucking and transportation specialist, Truckers Insurance, from West Des Moines, Iowa. Truckers just wasn’t satisfied with the level of service they had been receiving from existing premium finance companies. IFC operated as a subsidiary of Truckers until 1984. Truckers then sold IFC to a long term employee who had been running the company.

Our current owner, Brian Waller, joined IFC as President in 1994 and purchased the company outright in 2003. Over the years IFC has remained steadfastly independent with no ties to any insurance companies, banks or other financial institutions.

IFC is proud of the numerous professional affiliations it has maintained over the years. It was the first, and for a very long time the only, premium finance company to be an Associate Member of the American Association of Managing General Agents (AAMGA) and the National Association of Professional Surplus Lines Offices (NAPSLO). These two national wholesale trade organizations merged in 2017 and became the Wholesale Specialty Insurance Association (WSIA) of which IFC is now a charter member. IFC also supports various state Big I and PIA organizations.
